Pre Halloween Fun!

Yeah!!! The girls Halloween Costumes finally came in!!! I ordered their costumes a little over a week ago and was worried they wouldn't be in, in time for Halloween. We'll...when I arrived home with the girls, there was a package waiting for us on the front porch. Kaileigh was so excited! She thought the mail man brought her a present, I didn't tell her it was from Rusty and I "0). As soon as I opened the box, off went her clothes and on went her costume. Kaileigh's costume is a fairy one and Aubrie's is a little butterfly. I am going to dress them up on Friday once we get home from work/daycare and take them across the street to go trick or treating. It will be a great way to meet the neighbors and for Rusty and I to get some good candy, I mean Kaileigh, Kaileigh to get some good candy"0). Enjoy!
Love,
Kat

Six Month Check Up...

My super sweet little Aubrie had her six month check up last Thursday. Poor little thing, she had to get four shots, ouch. She weighs 17 lbs and is 26" long. I can't believe how much she has grown! She is such a wonderful child and just melts my heart every time I look at her. I am so blessed to have such sweet, healthy children. As a WIC Nutritionist, I see so many Moms who have critically ill children. I have seen children with spina bifida, cerebral palsy, shunts, epilepsy, children who are HIV positive, on feeding tubes, children with diseases I haven't even heard of, I have to look up their condition just to understand it, children who are with foster parents because their parents are either in jail or didn't want them. Just the other day I counseled a Mom who's daughter wasn't even allowed to go out in public because of her sensitivity to germs. I CAN'T IMAGINE, I JUST CAN'T IMAGINE. I am so thankful for my job and my children. I don't take anything for granted. It is a miracle, it honestly is to have a healthy child. So, with all that said, if you are reading this and have a child, please give them a great big hug and kiss.

Splish Splash...

Okay, so Rusty and I finally figured out a way to get both girls bathed at the same time...just put Aubrie in the bath tub with Kaileigh, duh. With Rusty traveling so much, I would always put Aubrie in her tub on the floor while I bathed Kaileigh in the big tub. By the time I was done with the two of them I was dripping wet. Aubrie loves to kick her feet and make HUGE splashes. Kaileigh doesn't want her little sister to outdo her so she tries to make even bigger splashes. Needless to say, this is a lot easier. Having both of them in the tub leaves Aubries splashes in the tub and Kaileigh little room to make much of a splash. I think we've finally figured it out, at least for now "0).

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Today Rusty and I took the girls to the Chesterfield Berry Farm Pumpkin Patch. We had such a WONDERFUL time!!! It was such a gorgeous fall day, we couldn't have asked for nicer weather. Kaileigh and Aubrie seemed to have really enjoyed themselves as did Rusty and I. While Rusty sat with Aubrie, Kaileigh and I went on a hunt for the perfect pumpkin. We started at one side of the pumpkin patch and ended up at the other end. After about thirty minutes of looking, she finally found it. It was a little pumpkin missing its handle but exactly what she was hoping for. For those of you in town, I highly recommend taking the kiddies there, it was so much fun!!!
Happy Harvest!
Love Always,
Kat
